Welcome to Grapevine. These Terms of Use apply to your use of the Grapevine mobile app and related services. By using Grapevine, you agree to these terms.

1. What Grapevine Does

Grapevine is a wine scanner and tracker app. It helps you identify wines by scanning labels, discover wines matched to your taste profile, rate and save wines, and build a personal wine journal.

Wine match scores, taste profile suggestions, and recommendations are provided as a personal guide only. They are not professional sommelier advice.

2. No Account Required

Grapevine does not require you to create an account. Your taste profile, ratings, saved wines, and settings are stored locally on your device unless a future version clearly states otherwise.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Grapevine may offer an optional subscription that unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Payment, billing, refunds, and purchase management are subject to Apple's terms and policies.

To manage or cancel a subscription, go to your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

4. Restore Purchases

If you reinstall the app or switch to a new device using the same Apple ID, you may be able to restore a previous purchase using the restore option in the app.

5. Wine Identification Accuracy

Grapevine uses AI to identify wines from label photos. Results are best-effort. We do not guarantee that every scan result, match score, or recommendation will be accurate. Label quality, lighting, and image angle can affect results.

6. No Liability for Purchasing Decisions

Grapevine is a discovery and tracking tool. We are not responsible for any purchasing decision, allergic reaction, dissatisfaction with a wine, or other outcome based on using the app.

7. User Data

You are responsible for the information you enter into Grapevine. Do not enter sensitive personal information beyond what the app requests.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
• Use the app for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to interfere with the app's backend services
• Scrape or misuse our wine database for commercial purposes

9. Changes to the App

We may update, change, add, or remove features at any time. We may also change pricing for future users. Existing subscription entitlements are handled according to Apple's App Store rules and applicable law.

10. Minimum Age

Grapevine is a wine-related app. You must be of legal drinking age in your country or region to use it.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new "Last updated" date.
